Bike Kitchen Augsburg

BikeKitchenAugsburg is non profit organisation of cyclists who host a wide selection of donated/discarded bikes available for anyone. Their aim is to inspire all of us who can to get on two wheels, so they also run weekly workshops where you can learn to fix up an old bike and take it away with you to ride. Kathrin from Friedensfest has arranged a meeting with Gunther there this evening, and together we select five bikes that will fit our speaker bar and can be transformed into Sonic Bikes for the festival. Not only do we find 5, but 2 of them are sturdy steel framed classics inc chrome wheels and mudguards, from Bavaria and the GDR. They’ll be bumpy on the cobbles but safe as houses. There’s even one I can ride away on to take to the Press Launch tomorrow. Thank you Gunther and BKA!  Note.
