Recording the tunnels

I’ve been lucky enough to be introduced to sound artist and resident of Nürnberg Alexandru Salariu whose been with me all week facilitating everything I need local help with. Having talked about, explored and ridden the tunnels and bridges together, (analysis, previous 2 posts) today we are meeting to make recordings in or with them. It’s boiling hot but our wide ranging gear, contact mics of different kinds, condensor mics, handheld digital devices and hydrophones are pretty compact and we have all day. We’re also good at finding the quiet spot in the shade on the old wall with fine locally sourced vittles when necessary. Thank you Casa Pane for your miraculous green olive foccacia twists.
