composing on site reality
Great to be in the square composing but the reality is hard. It’s cold, windy, noisy and a table outside the Museum equates information station for buses, Coventry history, what are you doing? bicycle pumping, repair, hire and toilets, etc. However, I’m in the thick of that essential and unquantifiable site atmosphere that subliminally guides and silently tells me what to make. And it’s not just sonic. It’s this architectural space with it’s shifting bodies of sadness and madness, solitary and clustered, grey light shifts and space to observe the varieties of lives that are coming and going continuously. Not a hermetically sealed space, but working in situ. This is #bicrophonic composition at its best,
