Interaction Residency – afterthoughts
Last week we turned a bicycle into an instrument which is now not only inspiring all kinds of new compositional and performic ideas, but note too how it encourages all kinds of peculiar cycling. As Lisa said, ” …it’s like you go blind and cycling becomes all about ears and feet! ” We also realised that the infrared sensor which worked brilliantly in the Lab (check Bike as Instrument#1) but would not work in the sunshine, in fact was great on a wet, grey day. (See above). How often are cyclists riding on grey wet days?
Grey day sensor has therefore been reinstated. And Bikes as Instruments will be restricted to fields and parks and the wilds of open wastelands. Onwards!
