Sonic kayak sonification project 3

I have been granulating the dragonfly recordings to give Amber and Dave an idea of the kinds of sounds that can be made through this process. At the same time, trying to stay within a recognizable sound world, vis a vis the species ‘playing’. I’m using the fabulous ‘Borderlands’ app which takes up hours of time as it’s pretty powerful but to be able to make something you still want to listen to is not so straightforward. I’m also working with resonant filters and phasing. The idea is that we find processes that work and then appropriate patches in Pure Data – the soft used in the Pi to live process the stored sound with the incoming air quality, water turbidity and temperature.
